Most dog car seats assume your dog gets the whole back seat. But if you’ve got kids, a passenger or a car full of gear, that doesn’t work. The Half-Size Hard Bottom Car Seat gives your dog a proper spot on one side and leaves the other side free.

The base has load-bearing plates inside, so it stays flat and firm instead of sagging into the gap between the seat cushions. Your dog gets steady footing on corners and dirt roads, and your seats are protected from claws, mud and wet coats.

The quilted Oxford fabric is waterproof and stands up to scratching. When it gets muddy you just wipe it down. A non-slip backing keeps the seat from sliding around.

The raised sides keep your dog contained but still let them see out, and a mesh window lets air through. Both sides zip down, so your dog can step straight in instead of jumping over the top. That’s handy for older dogs, pups, or anyone parked tight up against the next car.

The lead attachment clips onto your dog’s collar or harness and buckles into the seatbelt, so they stay put when you brake. A side mesh pocket holds a lead, treats or poo bags.

To fit it, the straps go around the headrest and the buckles clip it in place. It takes a couple of minutes and it comes out just as easily.
