Small dogs get overlooked when it comes to herding gear. We didn't think that was fair.

Poddy is our 45cm ball, built for the small but mighty — Mini Aussies, Corgis, Jack Russells, and any other compact herder with big working instinct. Because the little legends deserve proper gear too.

Same dual-layer build as our other balls: a tough PVC inner ball inside a 2520 Denier Oxford nylon outer cover, so it can take a nudging, a chasing, and a fair bit of teeth. Finished in a soft pale turquoise — easy for your dog to spot against grass and dirt, without being harsh on the eyes.

Indoors or out

Poddy's smaller size makes it just as at home inside as it is in the yard. Perfect for wet days, small spaces, or apartment living — your dog can get the same nudging, chasing satisfaction without needing a paddock to do it in.

Why size actually matters

Too small and it turns into a chew toy. Too big and your dog gives up before they've had a single nudge. Get it right and you'll watch your dog switch straight into working mode — head down, tail up, fully focused.

Getting the most out of Poddy

• Start with short sessions so your dog gets the hang of it
• Zip the cover three-quarters shut before inflating, for a snug fit with no wrinkles
• Supervise play — no toy is completely indestructible
• Keep it out of direct sun when not in use

Replacement parts available

Inner balls, outer covers and valves are all sold separately. If your dog eventually wears through a cover or needs a new valve, you're not buying a whole new ball — just the part that needs replacing.
